Weaving the wisdom of the elder with the dream of the youth

We spent most of the meditation tending to the heart and the brain, all to lead up to this wonderful question. How do we weave the wisdom of the elder with the dream of the youth?

We will walk forward the next few weeks embodying the answer to this.

It all started in the heart, the mind melted into the heart. The heart felt heavy for much of the hour. The heavy wasn't bad or wrong, just heavy.

I spoke about what I was listening to on my ride into work. An interview was talking about a study that delved into why the people who look most put together on paper weren't satisfied in life. The common thing in every different circumstance was this, they weren't allowed to feel the feelings they were feeling as a child.

Almost every parent has said "Oh, that isn't anything to cry about", "you will understand when you are older", "Don't be sad", "anger isn't appropriate here", "don't be so sensitive", etc, etc

We talked about that fact that we do need to feel our feelings, AND after presence and time with them, stay open to other options, other facets, more mature ways of looking at things, but never put your feelings away, just tap into what feelings you can add, what other perspectives you could percieve. There is a time and place for everything. Ask "what is required today?"

We talked about creative expression, we made space in our belly for the parts of us that were flip flopping around, feeling suppressed or stifled. What needs to be exposed? Does it need to be exposed to the world or just to yourself? The heaviness in the heart lifted.

We brought in more of ourselves from space. The parts and pieces we had disconnected from.

We ARE multi faceted beings.

We came back to creative expression. How can we more creatively express our pain, our joy, our personality? How much more multi faceted can we feel? Which facets are most available to me?

Some of these facets haven't been available to you since childhood. How can you interact with them in a more mature way?

How do we weave the wisdom of the elder with the dreams of the child?

Wednesday Evening Meditation

As I am writing this, we have one person who signed up for this week.

Community, connection, tea, conversation and sound bowls. This is the best 75-90 minutes of the week.

I love when these are small and intimate just as much, although very different, as when they are completely full.

Private sessions

This work is wonderful. If you would like a proper introduction to subtle energy mechanics at no charge, my friend Holly and I are seeing people at Conscious Body Healing Arts this Saturday for a talk and short demonstration.

If you know of any businesses that want to support their employees with health and wellness, please connect us. This work increases productivity, refines our thoughts and movements, increases creativity and enhances efficiency.

We put therapy into action using this new technique. We are calming nervous tension, increasing clarity of thought in chaotic situations, enhancing communication as much as freeing the physical body from pain, increasing mobility and so much more.

Working this directly with the nervous system is not something I would have thought possible just a year ago, but I am so, so, so grateful for this technique and I can't wait to share it with you.

Email SheriBagwell@me.com to book a session

Much love to you on yet another wonderful spring day

Sheri
