I was part of a panel chat last Wednesday about pleasure. What is pleasure, how do we focus on it, when do we give ourselves permission to have pleasure. I was the only one with a different answer to that. It was fun. If you want to watch, click here
It informed my gathering on Wednesday evening and Monday's meditation focussed on the pleasure of wintering. I am a little behind in my wintering this year, but as this cold front is moving through, I am planning to enjoy soup making, early bed times, baths, prayer and meditation, and all other slow moving experiences of winter.
Seriously, please comment on the blog or replay to this email to share what you are doing and how you are experiencing pleasure this winter.
Pleasure makes life worth living, even micro pleasure, using all your senses keeps you in the present moment and that is a joy to behold, when you are not anxious about the future or dredging up stories from the past, even good stories from the past take you from this moment. I want you to learn to be here, right now, and I want you to appreciate something.
The meditation on Monday focussed on physical nourishment and nurturing of all aspects of self from physical to mental and emotional.
One thing we talked about on Monday was that even if you are in a hard run (like I had for 4 straight years) you can experience joy, delight, and/or pleasure to keep yourself motivated and managing yourself through the hard until life shifts into a more positive direction. Then you are in the habit of making the better, even better.
Wednesday Evening Gathering
Let me know early if you are up for getting out in this cold??!! I will be out already and happy to offer meditation. Everyone who comes knows this is one of the most pleasurable times slots of my week, and winter is an excellent time to drop down into yourself. We have blankets, bolsters and warm beverages to keep you warm, soften your nervous system and open your heart.
Private session
In a one-on-one setting, we can delve deeper and move at a pace that’s comfortable for you, ensuring that each session meets your unique needs and circumstances.
In addition to Brainspotting, during private sessions, I also incorporate somatic work to help you integrate these transformative experiences into your body and daily life. Clients often leave our sessions feeling more aligned, resilient, and in touch with their innate strengths.
If you're curious about how Brainspotting and somatic practices can support your journey towards wholeness, I’d love to show you. We can dive deeper into your personal journey. Together, we’ll explore the patterns that are holding you back and create a tailored plan to help you embrace new, healthier habits.
Let’s work together to nurture your well-being and guide you toward a more balanced and fulfilling life.
I am offering a new package of 10 sessions for $999 which has proved to be popular to keep you accountable and on track with yourself. This is the best way to keep those new year resolutions.
