Happy Eclipse / Food Classes

Here in B'ham it was perfect viewing, up until the point that it was as full as it would get here, then the clouds and the rain came and I couldn't see anything else. It was beautiful though


We had a wonderful Monday morning meditation before the eclipse started. The energy seemed to stay in the center of the body. Breathing in through the nose, down into the belly and back out again. Making more space inside our center for the new with the intention to remain as stable as possible in the mean time


We were reminded that the eclipse energy doesn't fully land until mid or end May. Meaning that whatever we are uncovering, we might not see fully for a few weeks. Be gentle with yourself in the mean time


Since last Wednesday evening we have been reminded to uncover our hidden gifts/ talents and be open to discovering more of ourselves and as we focus on our future, focus more on the way we want it to be, and more importantly on each step along the way


We were also reminded to use the technology of the future, not of the past. Discernment is always required for knowing what to move forward with in terms of new technology. It might be literal technology or figurative. All I know is that I am looking at new ways of being, new ways of living, new ways to evolve as opposed to the way things have been done for the last 20 plus years


Can we be excited about the not knowing?! the discovering and the living as we move from where we are in this phase of life into the next?


The Food Classes

Food nourishes and sustains us. Food is medicine. The body knows how to function when we feed it properly. 


Food has controlled us.

We have knowingly used and abused food to make ourselves feel better, to stuff our emotions, to control people, to connect with loved ones 


Then there are people who fear food, fear food allergies, fear gaining weight, people who punish themselves or their people with food or with taking food away


And it is horrible, all this abuse around food

None of this is about appearance or societal expectations

This is about getting your mind and gut functioning well and supporting the health of your whole body


Wouldn't you love to have a good relationship with food? To be able to eat when you are hungry, know when you re not. Stop eating before you are full, and truly connect with your body around food in a healthy way


Wouldn't you love to communicate with your body about what to eat, how much and when in order to feel good? 


It has occurred to me now that my workspace has opened up on Thusday evenings, that might be the perfect time to host the food classes.


I will still be offering the classes online, but I need a private place to do that and my workspace is the perfect place considering I don't have an office at home and I live with a teenage boy! Saturdays are proving hard with the track and field schedule. I could do Sunday if the weeknight didn't work. Please let me know and I will announce dates later this week or by next Tuesday at the latest. I know there are a few people waiting for this class.


Would 6:30pm central work? That might not be late enough forthose of you in mountain time or on the west coast, so let me know if 7:30 is better? or if it needs to be a Sunday


We are going to do two weeks in a row with a follow up class optional a few weeks later

Wednesday evening meditation

As always we gather on Wednesday evening for the sounds of the bowls, a delicious beverage and time together to be supportive of one another,


I am feeling more silence during meditation this week will be required, the support with conversation will happen before and after the meditation


I am feeling the need for rose medicine this week, the softness it provides, the reduction in inflammation, the love it provides
